Takuya Kimura Expands Market with Debut Solo Concerts in Taipei

Japanese entertainment legend Takuya Kimura is set to embark on his “Takuya Kimura Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint,” marking a significant milestone with his inaugural solo international performances. These concerts will take place in Taipei on November 13 and 14 at the Taipei Music Center, offering fans outside Japan the opportunity to witness his live performance for the first time.

The tour will span multiple cities, featuring nine shows across five locations: Hyogo, Fukuoka, and Chiba in Japan, as well as Seoul, and the highly anticipated Taipei dates. Running from September 9 to November 23, the Taipei concerts coincide with Kimura’s 54th birthday on November 13, adding a personal touch to these groundbreaking performances.

In conjunction with the tour, Kimura announced the upcoming release of a new original album titled “Checkpoint” this summer. This album represents a significant phase in his music career, symbolizing his artistic evolution and marking a new chapter as he continues to engage with his audience.

Kimura has emphasized that this project aims to deepen the bond between himself and his fans. He expressed particular enthusiasm about performing internationally, acknowledging that the consistent support and requests from his global fanbase were instrumental in realizing the overseas concert dates.
