Anime enthusiasts and tourists heading to Japan’s renowned “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island will soon find traveling from Kyoto more convenient. Starting July 1, 2026, a new travel package will offer a seamless journey, combining a round-trip highway bus service from Kyoto Station to Awaji I.C. with entrance to the anime-themed attraction. This initiative aims to simplify day trips for both domestic and international visitors by eliminating the need for any transfers during the journey.
The travel time from Kyoto to Awaji Island is approximately 90 minutes by highway bus. The route offers passengers stunning views of the sea and bridges before they reach the anime park. Once there, visitors can use their included admission ticket to enjoy two key attractions: the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” three-dimensional maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally. This new package, however, will be available only on weekdays and will exclude major holiday periods.
For travelers interested in this unique experience, adult tickets are priced at 8,200 yen, while children’s tickets cost 4,250 yen, both rates inclusive of taxes. Tickets can be purchased through online platforms, though they must be exchanged at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center before travel. This direct bus service is anticipated to enhance accessibility for anime fans and tourists seeking a distinctive summer travel experience in Japan.
“NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” offers an immersive dive into the world of the famed ninja anime series, featuring elements inspired by the Hidden Leaf Village, character displays, various training activities, and interactive experiences. Situated within Nijigen no Mori, this park blends the essence of Japanese anime culture with outdoor entertainment, providing a captivating experience for visitors of all ages.
Awaji Island’s Nijigen no Mori is celebrated for its attractions based on popular Japanese entertainment franchises, set amidst a natural island environment. With the introduction of the direct bus service from Kyoto, the destination is set to become even more accessible, drawing in anime aficionados and tourists looking for a unique exploration of Japanese culture and entertainment.
